OndasXR
Real-time electromagnetic visualization laboratory. Materializes abstract concepts of propagation, fields, and antennas in a standalone immersive environment.
Physics beyond the blackboard
Electromagnetic theory is traditionally one of the most complex barriers for engineering students due to its abstract and invisible nature. OndasXR breaks that barrier by transforming complex mathematical equations into tangible 3D objects.
Real-Time Vector Visualization
The application allows the student to literally walk inside an electromagnetic wave, observing the orthogonality between the Electric (E) and Magnetic (H) fields. By removing the 2D abstraction of the textbook, understanding polarization and phase becomes intuitive and immediate.
Simulation of Radiating Systems
The core of the project focuses on the complex interaction of signals:
-
3D Radiation Patterns: Volumetric visualization of emission lobes.
-
Interference: Live simulations of how waves add up or cancel each other out upon collision.
-
Transmitter-Receiver: Experimentation with the relative position and orientation of antennas.
